Casting a New Light

Explore the vast world of Ardentmill as a Rahil Guard Summoner, where you fight off hordes of creatures, collect new monsters, and engage in an enticing storyline. Summoners War: Chronicles is an MMORPG created by Com2uS that puts you front and center of a beautifully animated world filled with memorable characters.

Summoners War: Chronicles is the newest entry in the Summoners War franchise. Chronicles takes the mechanics of its predecessor and places them in the MMO setting of mobile games with brand-new gameplay. As a Summoner, you must cast spells and summon monsters to help defend the kingdom of Ardentmill. You pick one of three classes at the beginning of the game. The classes are Summoner of Guard, Magic, or Healer, depending on your preferred play style. They play as your traditional tank, attacker, and healer classes. Throughout the game, you can also have up to three monster companions to fight alongside you. Each monster also has its own classes and element types.

One of the first things players will notice about Summoners War: Chronicles is its beautiful graphics. The game features stunning 2D artwork and vibrant colors that bring the world of Summoners War to life. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the game, from the character designs to the world you explore. The game also includes fully animated and voiced anime-styled cutscenes that make the player more engrossed in its story.

Gacha Again!

Like many monster-collecting mobile games, Summoners War: Chronicles’ main mechanic is its gacha system. Following the selection of your Summoners class, the player will be given their first monster as part of the tutorial level. The monsters you collect can be one of three elements; wind, water, and fire. These three elements work in a traditional rock-paper-scissors system. Wind is effective against water, water is effective against fire, and fire is effective against wind. Each monster can be of its own class, such as a fairy, elemental, or archer, among many others. As a summoner, the players must level up and evolve their monsters to make them stronger.

With the gacha-based system, some players may have bad luck and not obtain the rarer, more powerful monsters. However, with the leveling-up mechanic and being able to equip your monsters with items, even the common monsters can be a solid addition to your team. With over 1000 monsters to collect, players can spend much time and money trying to get the monsters they want.

As a Summoner, the player explores the semi-open world land of Ardentmill. The player has a few different options on how they can play. Single players can enjoy the entire story by completing main story quests and multiple side quests that will lead you to interact with interesting characters. Running around and exploring the semi-open world rewards players with new items and experience to level up.

Another aspect of Summoners War: Chronicles is its multiplayer features. Players can team up with friends and other players worldwide to take on challenging bosses and dungeons, adding a social element to the game that makes it even more enjoyable. The game also features real-time PvP battles, where players can test their skills against each other and climb the ranks to become the best summoner in Ardentmill.

Summoners War Chronicles battle gameplay

One potential downside of Summoners War: Chronicles is that it can sometimes be a bit grindy. Like many mobile games, players must spend time farming for resources and leveling up their monsters to progress through the game. However, the game is designed so that it doesn’t feel like a chore and the rewards for investing time in it is well worth it.

With its stunning visuals, engaging story, and fun gameplay, Summoners War: Chronicles is a great game to play for veterans of the series and newcomers. The gacha mechanic can make the game more difficult if the player is not able to pull the rarer and stronger monsters. However, properly optimizing your monsters by leveling them up and equipping items to them, bridges that difficulty bridge.
