Time to Learn Necromancy
Popular MMORPG Runescape has announced it will add a new Necromancy skill this year. A trailer for the new combat skill was recently released. According to the 8-minute reveal trailer, Necromancy will be both a new skill and a stand-alone combat style. Non-paying players can level up the new skill to level 20 while subscribers can level it up to level 120.
Runescape is a popular medieval fantasy MMO that was originally a browser game. Over twenty years after its original release, the title is now available for Android and iOS devices.
Along with the new skill comes a new story-rich questline. Players will battle the first Necromancer, who has resurfaced again and again throughout history. The first Necromancer attacked Gielinor’s Underworld the City of Um and enthralled its resident spirits. The player characters must master the art of Necromancy to free the spirits and defeat the first Necromancer.
According to the trailer, the City of Um will be uninhabited when the player first arrives. However, as you gain power, you’ll begin repopulating the city with spirits of the dead. The player will need to work with the dead to gain them as allies in their fight against the first Necromancer.
