Get Ready For Resident Evil on iPhone
Two best-selling horror games are coming to iPhone later this year. Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village will be available for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max by the end of 2023. This marks the first time the two iconic Resident Evil titles will be natively available on mobile devices. In addition to the iPhone releases, Resident Evil 4 will be available for iPad and Mac, and Resident Evil Village will be available on iPad this year.
Resident Evil 4 follows Leon S. Kennedy six years after the zombie outbreak in Racoon City. Now, a US agent, Leon, is tasked with rescuing the president’s daughter from dastardly beings in a strange, remote village. A remake of the iconic game, which was released in March, offers modernized gameplay and a revamped storyline.
Resident Evil Village continues the tale of Ethan from Resident Evil BioHazard. After being attacked in his home, Ethan undertakes a harrowing journey to rescue his infant daughter, Rose. In the game, Ethan faces off against vampires, werewolves and even a haunted doll.
Capcom’s RE Engine’s Metal support makes the iPhone port of these epic Resident Evil titles possible. The game engine harnesses the powerful features of Apple’s silicon, such as MetalFX Upscaling. The games will support a variety of controllers as well as multi-touch with on-screen controls. Both games will support cross-progression, meaning your progress is synced across your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
