Developer Jagex celebrates the classic MMORPG’s 12th birthday on February 19th. Prepare for a colossal battle of ice and fire in a challenging duel against a duo of legendary giants, as the ‘Royal Titans’ rise for Old School RuneScape members today.
Players are thrust into a battle of the elements in an intense Dual Boss encounter as the fire giants attempt to expand their territory under the command of their leader Brandr, the Fire Queen. They arrive at the Asgarnian Ice Cave, confronted by the ice giants’ intent to stop their conquest, summoning Eldric, the King of Frost. Exploit elemental weaknesses solo or as a duo and resolve the growing feud.
Discover an epic boss challenge for mid-to-late game players. Defeat the two legendary titans to unlock new rewards, including the powerful Twinflame Staff as well as the Giantsoul Amulet, an untradeable teleport item that takes players directly to any of the three boss giants: Obor, Bryophyta or the Royal Titans. Players who take down the Royal Titans will also find valuable item rewards such as Prayer Scrolls, Desiccated Pages, and a Fire & Ice giant pet. Introducing also is a brand new Slayer Alternative Task, providing players with a new way to gain slayer XP alongside bossing on any fire giant or ice giant task.
Alongside the Royal Titans, players can also discover new birthday decorations and new cosmetic rewards in-game.
