The Year of the Dragon is upon us, and NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment have one heck of a celebration planned for Naraka: Bladepoint. The popular melee battle royale game introduces the new hero, Shayol Wei, the Justice Vigilant, alongside plenty of in-game events.
Haunted by a recurring nightmare of being trapped in a misty maze since childhood, she escapes by brandishing her mystical golden blade and sense of justice. Shayol Wei will also wield the legendary Black Tortoise Shield. For every successfully deflected enemy attack, Shayol Wei will launch a charged, long-range follow-up attack with her blade.
In addition to the introduction of Shayol Wei, the Bruce Lee collaboration once again makes its return to Naraka: Bladepoint. Players can collect the coveted “Dragon Shadow” cosmetic series featuring Lee’s iconic outfits for a limited time. Additionally, the “Dragon Will” cosmetic series will be discounted in the in-game shop. Red envelopes will also rain down from the sky over the lobbies at the top of every hour. After opening, players will receive avatars, emotes and a range of other festive items. You can also spend your in-game currency to trigger these drops for yourself.
Finally, besides the red envelope drops and daily login rewards, you can participate in the Spring Festival Flavour. Collect food for the Four Heavenly Gods and earn sweet rewards while welcoming good fortune for the year to come. God knows we all could use a little more of that.
