IndieCade Award Winner IDEA Now Available for iOS
Embark on a journey of growth and exploration in TLR Games’ hybrid platformer IDEA. Winner of the 2022 IndieCade Award for Best Visual Design, IDEA draws its inspiration from Olli Huttunen’s film of the same name. Gameplay features physics-based exploration that incorporates platforming elements. The game invites players to guide their ideas to their rightful place in the world via a bird’s eye view in stunning 4K resolution.
Players spark ideas, represented by white lightbulbs, and guide them from the sky. Sometimes, ideas get stuck as they bounce and fall across the world. Players must free their fledgling concept before the music ends, or it will perish. However, its demise serves as an aide to usher future ideas (including your own) to reach their potential. If an idea fails, players should write and share a thought, verse or piece of a song. Each time players begin a journey, they’ll see other players’ wayward art pieces in the world. Save your favorites, and see how many times other players saved your own. If an idea successfully reaches its destination, it will bloom into a short piece of visual art.
Since its 2022 announcement, the game has won several accolades, including the title of finalist for the prestigious Sense of Wonder Night at the Tokyo Games Show. IDEA is available now for $3.99 via the App Store.
