Celebrate National Native American Heritage Month with the arrival of two new heroes in Marvel Contest of Champions. Chee’ilth and Kushala join the fighting game’s impressive roster of over 250 Champions during the month of November. First introduced at New York Comic Con 2023, Chee’ilth marks developer Kabam’s first original First Nations hero. Created and inspired by the First Nations people, Chee’ilth fought and defeated the evil entity known as The One Below All. Players can uncover more details behind Chee’ilth’s origin story in the new Motion Comic “As Above, So Below,” narrated by world-renowned Canadian actress Tantoo Cardinal.
Joining Chee’ilth in the Battlerealm is the Sorcerer Supreme Kushala. Kushala’s Apache tribe was slaughtered at the hands of U.S. soldiers during the mid-1800s. Enraged and desperate for aid, Kushala’s pleas were heard by a Spirit of Vengeance, which reduced the soldiers to ash. Horrified by the actions of the demon, Kushala sought to rid herself of its influence. While unsuccessful, her attempts allowed Kushala to amass a wealth of mystical knowledge and eventually earn the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme.
Kushala now enters The Contest in hopes of defeating an ancient evil who threatens to annihilate the multiverse. After realizing that she and the Summoner lack the power to fend off this foe by themselves, they call upon Chee’ilth. Together, the trio serves as the multiverse’s last hope against this ancient malevolence. Join their epic battle and recruit Kushala and Chee’ilth on November 16th and November 30th, respectively.
