Jagex has released a brand-new Grandmaster level quest in Old School Runescape: Desert Treasure II – The Fallen Empire. A sequel to the original Desert Treasure quest from 2005, Desert Treasure II introduces four new areas to explore and fight in. Players will challenge four bosses during this quest to access an ancient vault containing huge riches. However, doing so may bring great changes to Gielinor.
These four bosses will be a great test of players’ skills, each bringing unique mechanics and strategies to the table. Once defeated, players will have the opportunity to challenge them again for the chance to obtain the powerful Virtus Armor.
Players looking for other tangible rewards will be pleased to know of several new best-in-slot gear items. There will be four new rings to boost melee, ranged, magic, and strength skills. Aside from these, you’ll gain access to a powerful Ancient Sceptre that grows in strength as you defeat each of the quest’s bosses. Finally, each boss can drop a part to craft a unique two-handed axe to cleave through enemies.
In addition to this new Desert Treasure II questline, a new skill, Sailing, will soon be added to Old School Runescape. This is the first new skill to be added to the game in its 10-year lifespan. The Sailing skill is currently in a refinement stage. Eventially, the community will be able to vote on it in a poll.
Old School Runescape is a revival of the classic 2000s MMORPG Runescape, where you can explore the vast regions of Gielinor. The game is heavily influenced by its players through polls, such as ones being held soon for the Sailing skill.
