Bounty Hunter is back! Bounty Hunter is a player-versus-player (PVP) minigame in Old School RuneScape by Jagex. Initially released in 2007, the game has now been revamped with unique weapons, enhancements and a better matchmaking tool.
Players are matched with others of similar combat skill levels and fight in an arena called the Crater. After successfully beating their opponent, players are rewarded with their kill’s loot and additional emblems. In order to compete, players need to be at least level 32 and have spent at least 48 hours playing.
However, if players would rather play destructively, they can go Rogue. When going Rogue, rules can be ignored, and players can attack anyone within five combat levels of their own. While you won’t earn Emblem upgrades or BH points, you’ll still receive any GP and unprotected gear you earn. Additionally, if players decide to go Rogue, they can do so without changing modes or difficulties.
Old School RuneScape has also added a new skill for the first time in 10 years—Sailing. In order for the new skill to be added, it had to be passed by the community with a lock-in vote. Occasionally, sails will luff (shake from being too close in the wind). To continue sailing, players will have to correct their craft by clicking on the sails. Players can also hire NPC crew when they gain more XP.
Old School RuneScape is richer and fuller thanks to Sailing and Bounty Hunter’s return. Smooth sailing and good hunting!
